Planting
Plant a bare-root osier December to March, 45cm apart, rows 90cm apart. Moderate sources: RHS, Ashridge Nurseries and Buckingham Nurseries.
Cut the osier hard back for new stems
Gardeners call this coppicing and stooling for stem display.
Cut every stem back to 5-7.5cm from the ground, or to last year’s stubs.
